Welcome to Hanney Chapel |
We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30am. There will also be one evening service a month, generally on the 4th Sunday, at 6:00pm. (Other Sunday evenings we meet at the Abbey Baptist Chapel, Checker Walk, Abingdon).
All of these meetings are open to everyone and suitable for all ages. All of them are designed to bring relevant Bible teaching and an opportunity to worship God together.
An induction loop system is operated for those hard-of-hearing.
Hearing aids should be switched to the "T" or telephone position.
On Wednesdays at 7:30pm we meet for Bible study and prayer, in various locations. 2nd Wednesday of the month is in members homes, 4th Wednesday at Hanney Chapel and the others are held at the Abbey Baptist Chapel, Abingdon.
On the 1st Thursday of each month at 10:30am the “Mothers & Others” group meets. This is open to all and offers a time of informal fellowship with a brief talk, followed by lunch together.
Children’s Activities
Also on Thursdays at 6pm “Jumpstart” a club for 6 – 10 year olds is held during term-time. Evenings include games, stories, activities, Bible talks and refreshments.
The Hanney Friday Club operates during term-time and is for 10 – 16 year olds, normally meeting in the Chapel at 7:30pm. Evenings may include snooker and table tennis, craft or sport activities, as well as a short Bible talk and refreshments.
